Park City's Historic Main Street – Silver mining was key in the Park City area way back in the late 1860's. By 1880, Park City had grown to a population of over 10,000 people. Although "the great fire of 1898" destroyed over 200 homes and businesses, the town was rebuilt and many of the buildings now seen on Main Street date from that time.
Today, Park City's Historic Main Street is home to quaint shops, fine dining establishments, art galleries, bars and private clubs and of course...it's just a short walk to the Park City Mountain Resort.
Not to miss when you visit Park City's Main Street is The Phoenix Art Gallery. As a venue, The Phoenix Gallery offers visitors an accessible eclectic collection of high quality art in a comfortable setting. It is located next to the post office at 508 Main Street in a beautiful historic building.
